Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods in Queensland is seeking entry-level Process Workers, Packers and Knifehands for Boning Room, Kill Floor and Warehouse. Immediate start opportunities exist with across 150 roles, in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment requiring lifting 15–20 kg.

You will work on structured rosters with day or afternoon shifts, with overtime and penalties. Training is provided, and safety plus QA procedures are a must.

Qualifications

• Able to perform repetitive manual handling up to 15–20 kg.
• Able to stand for 8–10 hours per shift.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Able to follow strict hygiene and QA procedures.
• Experience with knives and trimming tools (training provided).

Number of Positions: 150 We are looking for Process Workers, Packers and Knife hands across our Boning Room, Kill Floor and Warehouse departments.

The work environment can be hot, cold (0–4°C in chilled areas), bloody and messy. The jobs are fast paced, repetitive and physically demanding. Required aptitudes for this role:

• Ability to perform repetitive manual handling, including lifting up to 15–20kg
• Ability to stand for long periods (8–10 hours per shift)
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments
• Ability to work at fast line speeds
• Ability to follow strict hygiene, safety and QA procedures
• Ability to safely use knives and trimming tools (training provided)

ROSTER Several rosters across a 7 day per week operation, with extra shifts available to pick up, and possible overtime. Day Shift: 5.00am to 3.30pm (4 on 4 off, and 3 on 3 off) – 9.5 hours Afternoon Shift: 4.00pm to 12.20am (5 on 2 off) – 7.6 hours Ordinary hours: 35 - 38 hours per week Overtime: Paid according to Award overtime provisions REMUNERATION

• Base rate: Start from $26.17 per hour (Kilcoy Pastoral Company Limited Processing Enterprise Agreement 2022)
• Penalty rates apply for afternoon/evening, weekend and public holiday shifts
• Overtime rates apply beyond ordinary hours
• Allowances (e.g., knife allowance) apply in accordance with the Award
• Training and upskilling opportunities provided
