Job summary

Mount Helena Primary School, part of the Western Australian Department of Education, seeks qualified Early Childhood/Primary teachers to join a pool for K–6 roles for 2027–2028. We value inclusive practices, student wellbeing and high expectations across a supportive school community.

Successful applicants will contribute to literacy and numeracy outcomes, implement evidence-based teaching strategies and work collaboratively with staff, families and the school council to foster student growth

Qualifications

• Eligible teacher qualification and registration required.
• Australian citizen, permanent resident or visa with work rights for term of appointment.
• Working with Children Check (WA) before start; Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and current Screening Clearance Number.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum from Kindergarten to Year 2.
• Promote inclusive practices and student wellbeing in daily teaching.
• Differentiate learning experiences to meet individual student needs.
• Use ongoing formative assessment to provide timely feedback and monitor progress.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the wider community.
