Job summary

Kogan.com is seeking a Junior Category Manager for Tech & Electronics in Melbourne. You will own a category portfolio, identify commercial opportunities, source key suppliers, and manage day-to-day operations to drive revenue and profit.

You’ll work closely with marketing and purchasing to optimize listings and promotions. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, strong relationship management, and agile execution in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar).
• Experience with category ownership at Assistant/Junior level or supporting a Manager.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify commercial opportunities for category expansion including sourcing and new products.
• Source suppliers locally and internationally, including exclusive brands.
• Manage daily category operations: planning, promotions, inventory, shipping and logistics to exceed revenue and profit targets.
• Engage with stakeholders to build effective working relationships and drive outcomes.
• Maximise profitability through deep category and market understanding.
• Drive pricing changes and contribute to pricing reviews.
• Ensure timely introduction of new products and efficient inventory management.
• Monitor inventory levels, forecasting, and promotional activity to meet goals.
• Collaborate with Marketing to ensure product listings are well merchandised and discoverable.
