H&R Block External in Mackay seeks a motivated Junior Tax Accountant to join our busy practice. You will gain training in individual tax returns, rental schedules, BAS/IAS, and capital gains calculations under supervision.

We welcome graduates or juniors with exposure to Australian tax returns, a strong eye for detail, and good communication. Prior public practice is valued but not essential; full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree completed or currently studying.
• Some exposure to Australian income tax returns.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and prepare individual income tax returns
• Prepare and maintain Rental property schedules
• Capital gains tax calculations
• BAS and IAS preparation
• Client correspondence and information gathering
• Tax office liaison and administration
• Business tax return preparation (with training)
