Job summary

Ulton in Queensland is seeking a trainee/graduate accountant to join our Bundaberg taxation team. You’ll gain hands-on experience across financial statements, tax returns, and quarterly activity statements while developing practical accounting skills.

You will work under experienced mentors, have access to paid study support and coaching, and exposure to a diverse client base across industries, with flexible study options and a friendly, supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Trainees actively studying/enrolled in a Bachelor of Business/Accounting or pursuing CA Pathways.
• Graduates with 2–3 years of accounting study or degree are welcome.
• Understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Preference for experience with MYOB AE/AccountRight, Xero, and System Release.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, monthly and quarterly activity statements and more.
• Learn to operate accounting systems.
• Have access to mentors for deeper learning and perspective.
• Training, mentoring and coaching to extend university knowledge.
• Exposure to a variety of clients and industries.
