Job summary

Lucas Collective in Melbourne is seeking sommeliers to join on a casual basis and deliver a best-in-class wine experience. This hands-on role suits those with a passion for wine and a keen service ethic.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sommelier or wine waitstaff in fine dining or high-volume settings.
• Basic knowledge of local, national and international wine.
• Passion for wine and the industry.
• Exceptional service skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a best-in-class wine experience in fine dining and high-volume settings.
• Provide exceptional service and wine recommendations to guests.
• Work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Be mentored by leading industry professionals and contribute to guest satisfaction.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking the industry’s best Sommeliers to join our team on a casual basis and deliver a best‑in‑class wine experience. This is a hands‑on role focused on exceptional service, suited to those with an unwavering passion and appreciation for wine.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside - and be mentored by - some of the industry’s most respected professionals, including Loic Avril and Yuki Hirose.

• Experience as Sommelier / Wine Waitstaff in a fine dining and/or high volume restaurant
• Basic knowledge in local, national and international wine
• Passion for wine and the industry
• Exceptional service skills
• Excellent communication and organisation
• Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day to day operations
• Adaptable, flexible and able to work in a high pressure environment
• Possess a valid Certificate of Responsible Service of Alcohol
• WSET or CMS qualification or equivalent advantageous
• Available to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
• Must have full Australian work rights
