Job summary

Camberwell Girls Grammar School is seeking a part-time Physical Education Teacher to join our Junior School from Foundation to Year 6, commencing Term 1 2027. The successful candidate will hold a recognised teaching qualification, be VIT registered, and demonstrate knowledge of PE/HPE curricula and modern primary teaching practice.

A passion for girls’ education and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised teaching qualification with experience in Physical Education/Health and Primary education.
• Demonstrated understanding of contemporary teaching and learning for primary students.
• Sound knowledge of PE/HPE curriculum requirements.
• Current VIT registration.

Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education for Foundation to Year 6.
• Part-time ongoing role (approx. 0.5–0.6 FTE).
• Foster student wellbeing and positive learning environments; apply contemporary teaching methods.

About the role

Leading independent girls' school, Camberwell Girls Grammar School, presents an opportunity for a Physical Education Teacher to join our Junior School on an ongoing basis, commencing Term 1 2027.

This is a part-time position (approx. 0.5 - 0.6 FTE) teaching Physical Education from Foundation to Year 6. The successful applicant must be appropriately qualified and able to teach Physical Education in a primary setting.

CGGS teachers have an excellent understanding of effective pedagogical practices and contemporary learning design, supported by strong interpersonal and communication skills. A passion for girls' education is essential to success in this role.

About you

• A recognised teaching qualification, with relevant study and/or experience in Physical Education/Health and Physical Education and primary education
• Strong understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices for primary-aged students
• Sound knowledge of relevant PE/HPE curriculum requirements
• Current registration with Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
