Job summary

AE Capital in Melbourne seeks a Junior Software Engineer to join our technology team, focusing on high-speed real-time systems for systematic trading in FX and futures. You’ll work alongside engineers and researchers on rigorous, automated platforms from day one.

You’ll develop in C#/.NET, gain exposure to SQL/NoSQL, AWS, Grafana, Python and MATLAB, and contribute to data pipelines, back-testing tools and production reliability.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional software-development experience or a strong undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
• Experience with C#/.NET and databases recommended.
• Interest in quantitative finance and production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C#/.NET applications with exposure to SQL/NoSQL, AWS, Grafana, Python and MATLAB.
• Build and maintain systems that collect, process and distribute real-time market data.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and automated testing for production systems.
