Job summary

Matched Property Lawyers, a division of Zahr Partners, is seeking a Junior Property Lawyer in Sydney with at least 2 years' post-admission experience to join our growing team. This hands-on role covers residential, commercial and development matters.

You will manage your own files from instruction through to completion, and liaise with clients, agents, lenders and advisers. Experience with PEXA and LEAP will be highly regarded.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ post-admission experience, preferably in property law.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage files independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Client-focused approach and confidence dealing with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience with PEXA and LEAP highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Handle own property files from instruction to completion.
• Draft and review contracts and related documentation.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders, and other professional advisers.
• Assist with related property/transactional matters, including business sales and purchases, leases, wills and probate.
• Work across residential and commercial sales, off-the-plan transactions, leasing, and development matters.

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Property Lawyer, with a minimum of 2 years’ post-admission experience to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated lawyer looking to further develop their career across a diverse range of residential, commercial and development matters.

You will have responsibility for your own files and work closely with clients throughout the transaction, from initial instructions through to completion.

Your matters will include:

• Residential and commercial sales and purchases
• Off-the-plan transactions
• Commercial and retail leasing
• Property development and due diligence
• Subdivisions, easements, and positive covenants
• Options agreements
• Joint venture and development agreements
• Caveats and PPSR matters
• Drafting and reviewing contracts and related documentation
• Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and other professional advisers

You may also have the opportunity to assist with related property/transactional matters, including business sales and purchases, leases, wills and probate.

About You:
