Job summary

Hindsight Legal Advisers is a growing law firm providing practical commercial advice across banking, property and financial services. You will run residential conveyancing files end-to-end for lenders and borrowers, with a focus on accuracy and client communication.

The role requires admission as a solicitor in Australia with an NSW practising certificate, and experience with Leap and PEXA is highly valued. You will work closely with partners and support a collaborative team in NSW.

Responsibilities

• Run residential conveyancing files from start to finish for lenders and borrowers.

Hindsight Legal Advisers was founded by Michael Lazar (ex-Dentons and NAB) and AJ Sridaran (ex-Macquarie Bank and Dentons) - two lawyers with deep experience in banking and property law from major firms and in-house legal teams. Since launching, we've grown to a team of over 10. We act for financial institutions, credit providers and retail clients across the banking, property and financial services sectors. Our advice is commercial, practical and built for the way our clients actually do business.

The role

You'll run residential conveyancing files from start to finish, acting for both lenders and borrowers, and advise clients on a mix of straightforward and more complex property matters across Australia. Day-to-day, you'll handle PEXA settlements, manage your own workflow and calendar, and liaise with clients, external solicitors, conveyancers, banks, finance brokers, government agencies and regulators.

You'll keep clients informed at every stage and maintain the file discipline and attention to detail that gives our advice its edge. You'll also pitch in across the team where it's needed - assisting on other files, answering phones and looking after walk-in clients at reception. We all do this, including the partners.

What you'll need

Nice to have

Any experience drafting discretionary trust deeds, SMSF trust deeds or bare trust deeds is a plus, as is exposure to or an interest in estate planning or transactional lending. A basic understanding of transactional or regulatory work is welcome but not essential.
