Job summary

JLegal in Sydney is seeking a junior Property Lawyer or Associate to join an established real estate practice. You will work closely with experienced property lawyers and gain exposure to leasing and development-related work.

This hands-on role offers strong foundations across property transactions, with opportunities to develop client relationships and manage matters day-to-day while joining a collaborative team committed to flexible working and career progression.

Qualifications

• Admitted lawyer with 1–2 years post-admission experience in transactional property law.
• Experience in property transactions within a commercial legal practice is preferred.
• Strong drafting and attention to detail with clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Advise on commercial, retail and industrial leasing matters.
• Draft and negotiate leases, agreements for lease, variations and assignments.
• Assist with acquisitions and disposals of commercial and development property.
• Support property development transactions from initial acquisition to completion.
• Undertake property due diligence and prepare transaction documentation.
• Liaise with clients and other parties involved in transactions.
• Manage transaction requirements, deadlines and critical dates.
• Work alongside senior lawyers on larger or more complex matters.
