Job summary

Metier Recruitment is assisting a client in recruitment for a Junior Project Manager in NSW. The role oversees construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and quality standards.

You will coordinate schedules, budgets, and stakeholders, manage procurement, and review contracts while maintaining compliance with Australian standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and Australian building standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong budgeting, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Building, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Current White Card (essential).
  • Current driver’s licence (essential).

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from commencement to completion.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project quality and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing regular project updates.
  • Review contracts, project documentation, and variations.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure work meets required standards.
  • Manage procurement of materials and resources.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Junior Project Manager to oversee construction projects from planning through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards of an organisation that builds strong relationships with their employees, clients and stakeholders, then this may be the role for you!
