Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Junior Primary Engineer in Australia to develop HV/MV substation designs, including SLDs and layouts, and to support equipment selection for renewables projects. You will use AutoCAD and related tools, ensuring compliance with Australian standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers a flexible/hybrid working environment, mentorship from experienced engineers, and exposure to major HV, BESS and renewable projects in a growing EPC team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in HV/MV substation primary design, including single line diagrams and layouts.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation or similar design tools to create technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of equipment selection, specifications, earthing, and clearance basics.
• Familiarity with Australian standards (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
• A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent technical background.
