Job summary

Bytewize in Traralgon is seeking junior dog lovers to join a busy doggy day care and boarding team. The role suits those who adore dogs, enjoy interacting with social, happy dogs, and are ready to get hands dirty with lots of playful activity.

Shifts run after school, on weekends, and during school holidays, with full training provided. Nearby peak periods like Christmas may require extra shifts.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Must love dogs and enjoy a busy, friendly environment.
• Available for after-school shifts, weekends and school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Walk and handle dogs safely.
• Feed and water dogs as needed.
• Greet owners during handover and provide good customer service.
• Work well in a team or independently.
• Clean and sanitise the dog play areas.
• Run enrichment activities like games and loving care.
• Assist with dog training occasionally.
• Basic grooming tasks such as hydro baths and nails.

We are looking for junior dog lovers to join our team.

Doggy Day care is a fun place for the dogs, and for us dog lover humans!

The ideal candidates would love dogs, feel confident around social happy dogs and be willing to get their hands dirty and not mind happy dogs jumping on them in play. We have regular shifts after school, weekends, and school holidays within our Doggy Day Care and Dog Boarding Services.

The role would suit anyone who loves dogs and would love to work in a rewarding loving environment with LOTS of DOGS and is available from 3.30pm each day and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday. We share the load around the team, so there is still time for homework and sports activities. Over peak period such as Christmas / New Year and Easter extra shifts will be a requirement.

Duties include:

• Dog walking and handling

• Dog feeding and watering

• Customer Service, greeting owners at handover

• Ability to work as a team or on your own

• Cleaning and sanitisation of the doggy play yard

• Enrichment programs with the dogs e.g. Play, love and care

• Assisting with dog training (occasional)

• Basic first aid e.g. clean eyes administer medicine if required

• Basic grooming e.g. Hydro bath, nail clip and blow dry

• Occasional guinea pig, bird or rabbit care and hygiene assistance
  

Immediate start available with full training provided.
