Job summary

Poole Group, based in Birtinya on the Sunshine Coast, seeks a Junior/Intermediate Tax Accountant to join the team. You will work with a broad client base, delivering accounting, taxation and BAS services while reporting to a Tax Manager.

A go-getter with a mindset to develop and grow is ideal. The role offers a supportive environment with ongoing professional development, access to trainer and mentor, and study days.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce or currently studying.
• Completed, commenced or willing to commence CPA/CA.
• Minimum 2 years of public practice experience.
• Business Services, Tax and BAS experience.
• Tax Planning experience or willing to learn.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Excellent knowledge of tax compliance & research skills.
• Ambition to succeed and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Provide public practice accounting, taxation and related business services to a client base from individuals to companies.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance across various client structures.
• Support Tax Manager with day-to-day advisory and project work.
• Develop and grow technical knowledge in public practice.

Are you looking to take the next step in your career? We are continuing to expand our portfolio and are on the lookout for a Junior / Intermediate Tax Accountant to join our team.

In this busy and varied role you will work with a broad and diverse range of established clients, providing you with both challenging and interesting work.

Reporting directly to a Tax Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide public practice accounting, taxation and related business services to a client base of individuals through to companies operating via various business and investment structures. We are seeking a go-getter, someone willing and able to develop and grow.

Based in Birtinya, we are across the street from Lake Kawana, which provides a perfect backdrop for a stroll or a lunch run. Also in close proximity are cafes, gyms, the local pool and of course the beach.

What you will bring to the team:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce or currently studying;

• Previous experience in XERO & Microsoft Office Suite; and
• Experience with XPM and FYI Docs helpful but not essential.
