Job summary

Accountplan Taxation & Financial Planning Pty Ltd in Redcliffe, QLD, is seeking a part-time accounting assistant to support our business clients with basic tax and accounting tasks. You will handle non-complex tax returns, prepare basic financial accounts, and maintain bookkeeping and data-entry processes.

Reporting to the General Manager and Accounting Team Leader, the successful candidate will help meet statutory deadlines while delivering a positive client experience.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager and Accounting Team Leader, the successful applicant will service our business client base via the provision of a blend of basic tax and accounting functions:

preparation of non-complex tax returns

preparation of basic financial accounts

bookkeeping and data-entry

The successful applicant will support our accounting team in not only meeting statutory deadlines but creating a client experience that exceeds expectations.

Previous Experience

companies & trusts (minimal → developing)

preparation of EOY workpapers

reconciliation of ATO accounts

BAS / IAS / TPAR

working across a wide range of bookkeeping software solutions

ability to coach and advise clients on bookkeeping and software options

Tertiary Qualifications

Minimum - completed a Diploma in Accounting

Preferred - progress toward completing a Degree in Accounting

Optional Hours

We are seeking a minimum 30hrs per week part-time, but for the right applicant, would consider a full-time placement.
