Junior Hospitality & Environmental Services Assistant (Kaniva)

We are seeking a Junior Hospitality & Environmental Services Assistant to work in a part time (9 hours/fortnight) capacity based at Kaniva.

Renumeration

• Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2025-2027.
• Classification KX1 - $20.50 per hour and $4797 per year as per award.

About the role

• The Junior Assistant helps with the preparation and service of meals. They ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition in accordance with the Department of Human Services Standards and Infection Control Guidelines.

Essential

• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work without active supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, support employees, consumers, management and the community.
• Proven ability to prioritise and be multi-skilled.
• Demonstrate basic ability to learn and use computer software packages including Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel and other software packages as necessary

Desirable

• Knowledge of Health Regulations, Infection Control Health Regulations and Victorian Food Safety Standards
• Proficiency in cleaning through on-the-job training.
• Proficiency in kitchen duties and food preparation through on-the-job training

Mandatory Employment Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Working with Children Check.
• Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
