Job summary

Nick Ceiling Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Estimator based in St. Peters, Sydney NSW to take ownership of the tendering process from project inception and deliver accurate cost estimates across diverse projects.

The role requires 1-2 years of estimating experience in interior fit-out, refurbishment, or new builds, with strong analytical and Excel skills, and collaboration with the Estimating and Business Development teams.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of estimating experience within interior fit-out, refurbishment, or new builds.
• Proficiency in industry estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and standard office applications.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and documentation to identify all cost components.
• Review and analyze supplier quotations.
• Collaborate with Estimating and Business Development Managers on tender strategies.
• Contribute to project methodology, risk reviews, and value engineering.
• Follow up on submitted tenders and build relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Provide support to the project delivery team throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Monitor industry standards, regulations, and shifts in material and labour costs.
• Provide administrative support to estimating and contract management teams as required.
