Job summary

Workhouse Interiors in Brisbane seeks a detail-oriented estimator to assist with pricing window furnishings across residential and commercial projects. You will learn the technical and commercial aspects of the industry while supporting pricing and tender activities.

You will read drawings, perform take-offs, compare supplier pricing and prepare variations. Training is provided, with a clear path to Senior Estimating or Project Management roles as you grow.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, good numerical skills and an interest in construction, interiors or project estimating.Industry experience is desirable but not essential – we will train the right person.

About the Role

Working closely with our Estimating, Sales and Project Management teams, you will assist with pricing and estimating window furnishing packages across residential, commercial and multi-residential projects.

Your role will include:

• Preparing quotes and estimates for blinds, curtains and automated window furnishings.

• Reading architectural drawings, plans and schedules.

• Completing quantity take-offs and checking dimensions.

• Obtaining and comparing supplier pricing.

• Preparing variations and revised quotations.

• Checking quantities, specifications and pricing for accuracy.

• Liaising with suppliers and internal teams.

• Assisting with tenders and larger project pricing.

• Maintaining accurate project and estimating records.

• Learning the technical and commercial aspects of the window furnishing industry.
