WGA - Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec is seeking a Trainee Drafter to join our Newcastle team. This full-time, entry-level position supports civil and structural design drafting while you complete the MEM40422 Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting.

The role starts in February 2027 to align with the training course. No drafting experience is required; Year 12 completion in 2026 or soon will be considered. WGA covers training costs and provides study time during work hours.

Qualifications

• Year 12 completion in 2026 or equivalent.
• Interest in civil/structural design drafting and a willingness to undertake a Certificate IV.
• Curiosity and proactive problem solving with technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on drafting tasks for civil/structural projects.
• Learn from experienced engineers and designers through structured training.
