Job summary

Family Orthodontics is seeking a Junior Dental/Orthodontic Assistant to support our Liverpool and Carlingford chairside teams. No dental experience is required and the role offers full-time hours with on-the-job learning.

You will assist clinicians, prepare and sterilise instruments, and ensure patient comfort while welcoming families and helping nervous children feel at ease. Mentoring and ongoing education are provided to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Warm, personable and enjoy working with people of all ages.
• Organised, reliable and attentive to small details.
• Keen to learn and open to feedback.
• Customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality or similar is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist and hygienist chairside from setup to patient comfort.
• Prepare, sterilise and manage instruments following infection-control standards.
• Welcome patients and families and help nervous kids feel at ease.
• Keep surgeries clean, stocked and ready, and support the wider team.

Family Orthodontics is a well-regarded local practice caring for children, teens and adults across Liverpool and Carlingford. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable person to join our chairside team and learn orthodontic assisting from experienced clinicians.
