Job summary

Veracity Talent Solutions Pty in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a Junior Contract Administrator to support the Director and Construction Manager on commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects. You will manage supplier quotes, cost reporting, contracts, scope of works, progress claims and procurement.

To be successful, you should hold a Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree and have 2+ years as a Cadet or Junior Contract Administrator, ideally with a commercial refurb and fit-out

Qualifications

• Outstanding communication skills and degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 2+ years experience as a Cadet or Junior Contract Administrator, preferably with a Commercial Refurb and Fit-out builder.

Responsibilities

• Source cost-effective supplier quotes and subcontractors.
• Assist expenditure forecasting and cost reporting accuracy.
• Negotiate and assist in preparing contracts for subcontractors.
• Define scope of works, progress claims and variations.
• Procurement of supplies and materials as required.

Our client is well known in the Construction industry, based close to Alexandria and work mainly on Commercial Refurb and Fit-out projects across Sydney CBD, Inner west and the Southern suburbs.

An opportunity has become available for a Junior Contract Administrator to join their already successful team. This outstanding role will see you providing support to the Director and Construction Manager. Your duties will be varied and include:

• Sourcing appropriate and cost effective supplier quotes and subcontractors
• Assisting to ensure the accuracy of expenditure, forecasting and cost reporting
• Negotiating and assisting in the preparation of contracts for subcontractors
• Scope of works, Progress Claims and Variations
• Procurement of supplies and materials as required

Your Profile

To be successful you will need to have outstanding communication skills and be graduated from your Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree. You You will also need to have at least 2 + years experience as a Cadet or Junior Contract Administrator preferably with a Commercial Refurb and Fit-out builder. To stand out, you will be an ambitious individual who is keen to grow within the Construction sector.
