Job summary

Quest Payment Systems Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our agile team. You will design and build robust backend and web systems using TypeScript, C#, Python and React that integrate with our payment hardware.

You will also contribute to supporting components in C/C++, Kotlin, and Flutter, helping ensure performance, security and reliability across the platform while learning in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 12 months software development experience minimum.
• Strong backend and web application experience using TypeScript, C#, Python and React.
• Familiarity with payment tech and secure coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems that facilitate payments.
• Develop and maintain websites, portals, and payment flows for merchants and customers.
• Build secure, user-friendly interfaces that meet payment standards.
• Support and interface with APIs from internal teams.
• Contribute to future payment tech through experimentation and iteration.
• Improve tools, processes, and engineering culture.
