Job summary

Integrated Design Group in Croydon, Australia, is seeking a Graduate of Architecture to join a small, energetic team. You will collaborate across projects of varying scales, gaining exposure from concept to on-site delivery and working closely with our three Directors in a hands-on design environment.

You will contribute to documentation, client and consultant interactions, and construction detailing while developing skills toward architectural registration. CAD/ArchiCAD proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed architectural studies; in-office experience is a bonus.
• Proficient in CAD; ArchiCAD experience highly regarded.
• Clear, precise drawings with attention to detail and layout.
• Familiarity with the BCA/Australian Standards is a plus.
• Experience engaging with clients and consultants is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a small, supportive team to deliver projects of various types and scales.
• Work closely with three Directors who are hands-on in projects and design discussions.
• Your design input will be valued and encouraged.
• Gain exposure to all project stages, from concept through to delivery on site.
• Collaborate with and manage consultant teams.
• Interface with clients and take ownership of small-scale projects with guidance from your team leader.
• Contribute to large-scale projects, managing key components within the team.
• Develop skills to produce complete documentation sets for varying project stages.
• Depending on strengths, focus on construction detailing and technical standards or explore front-end design and project creation.
• Receive the support and experience needed to pursue architectural registration, if it’s your goal.
