Job summary

TIMG is seeking a curious and motivated Junior Software Engineer with an interest in AI, data analytics and automation to help develop practical business solutions that improve reporting, decision-making and operational efficiency.

Embedded with the Software Engineering team, this is a hands-on role focused on AI workflows, data analysis, automation and business intelligence. It is not a social media or content-writing role.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant industry experience; or Master's student in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Good documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve AI prompts and workflows.
• Transform Excel, CSV and other business data into useful reports, dashboards and summaries.
• Help automate repetitive business and compliance processes.
• Build AI tools that help managers understand business performances.
• Assist in the development of AI agents that monitor areas such as Safety and Compliance, Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, and Driver Performance.
• Help identify data quality issues and problems within reporting systems.
• Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to assist with SQL, Power BI, DAX, Python and documentation.
• Test AI outputs to ensure they are accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.
• Document processes so they can be easily used by other staff.
• Work closely with Compliance and business teams.
• Contribute to projects involving Vehicle maintenance forecasting and asset optimisation analytics, AI-powered executive reporting, AI-assisted decision support, and Business process automation.
