Job summary

Big Chill Distribution seeks a curious and motivated Junior Software Engineer to help develop practical AI-driven business solutions for reporting, decision-making and operational efficiency. Embedded with the Software Engineering team, this role focuses on AI workflows, data analysis, automation and business intelligence.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of experience or be a Master's student in Computer Science / IT / Data Analytics.

Qualifications

1–2 years of industry experience or being a Master's student in a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent documentation and communication skills; able to work independently and own projects.
Genuine interest in AI, automation and data integration across reporting and BI workflows.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve AI prompts and workflows.
Transform Excel, CSV and other data into reports, dashboards and summaries.
Automate repetitive business and compliance processes.
Build AI tools to help managers understand performance.
Assist in AI agents for monitoring Safety, Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, and Driver Performance.
Identify data quality issues in reporting systems.
Use AI tools like Microsoft Copilot with SQL, Power BI, DAX, Python and documentation.
Test AI outputs for accuracy and reliability.
Document processes for reuse by staff.
Collaborate with Compliance and business teams.
Contribute to projects like vehicle maintenance forecasting, AI-powered reporting, and business process automation.
