Job summary

The Supreme Court of Victoria is seeking a Judicial Services Coordinator – Criminal Division to join the Judicial Services Team in a fixed-term position for 12 months, based in Melbourne CBD.

You will provide high-level support to Judges, Associate Judges and Judicial Registrars, coordinating services and supervising judicial support staff across the Court. This is a dynamic, professional role requiring strong initiative and relationship-building across key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, confidently and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
• Sound judgement and discretion when working with confidential, complex and sensitive matters.
• A collaborative and proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and problem-solving.
• A sound knowledge of the court system, the judiciary, and the legal environment in which the Court operates is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services and deliver responsive support for Judges, Associate Judges and Judicial Registrars in the Criminal Division.
• Oversee day-to-day management of judicial support staff, including Associates, Personal Assistants/Secretaries and Tipstaves across the Court.
• Build effective working relationships across the Court to ensure timely and accurate judicial support.
