Job summary

Ghanda Clothing in South Geelong, VIC is seeking a hands-on Joiner/Cabinet Maker to manufacture and assemble cabinetry to specification. The role is production-focused with emphasis on precision and pace, with flexible hours between part-time and full-time, working onsite.

You will interpret plans, prepare cutting lists, measure, cut, route, glue and assemble timber components, operate CNC, panel saw and related workshop gear, and collaborate with the team to meet tight deadlines while

Qualifications

• Proven experience in joinery or cabinetry.
• Sound knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
• Demonstrable ability to read and interpret plans.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Experience with CNC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing and assembling cabinetry and joinery products to specification.
• Interpreting plans and preparing cutting lists for each job.

A day in the life

As a JOINER / CABINET MAKER, your daily tasks may include:

• Manufacturing and assembling cabinetry and joinery products to specification
• Interpreting plans and preparing cutting lists for each job
• Measuring, cutting, routing, gluing, and assembling timber components with precision
• Operating CNC, panel saw and other workshop machinery safely
• Ensuring accurate alignment, fitting, and finishing across all joinery work
• Working collaboratively with the broader team to meet deadlines

About you

The ideal addition to the #GhandaGang will have:

• Proven experience in joinery or cabinetry
• Sound knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
• Previous experience using panel saw, edge banders and CNC machines
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
• Demonstrable ability to read and interpret plans
