Job summary

ETC Employment Training Community is seeking a proactive Jobs Advisor in Brisbane to help people overcome barriers and achieve meaningful employment. You will support diverse individuals, build lasting relationships, and deliver tailored guidance across one-to-one and group sessions.

The Role - A Day in the Life of a Jobs Advisor.

Every day is different in this role. You'll work with a diverse range of individuals, providing personalised support and guidance to help them move closer to employment and career goals.

As a Jobs Advisor, you will:

• Build positive and supportive relationships with customers
• Manage your own caseload of customers and provide ongoing guidance
• Deliver individual and group-based support sessions
• Prepare customers for employment opportunities and referrals to activities that build employability skills
• Work towards agreed performance outcomes and targets
• Help customers identify strengths, overcome barriers and achieve sustainable employment outcomes

Criteria for Success

We're seeking someone who is:

• A strong communicator who enjoys working with people from all walks of life
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities
• Motivated by achieving goals and delivering positive outcomes
• Confident building relationships and providing exceptional customer service
• Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Customer service skills and/or experience
• A desire to achieve outcomes and meet KPIs
• Certificate IV in Employment Services (or willingness to obtain)
• A current, clear National Police Check
• A current QLD Blue Card
