Job summary

FinXL is seeking a Java Developer to join our Software Engineering Practice for a 12-month contract in Sydney Olympic Park. You will work on core Java and Spring development, contribute across Angular and Node.js frontend work, and build Python scripts to support platform functionality.

Role involves containerization with Docker/Kubernetes and API testing with Postman, in a hybrid setup with three days in the Sydney office. Experience in biometrics-focused public-sector projects is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development background with Spring framework.
• Front-end/back-end experience with Angular and Node.js.
• Python scripting for automation and backend tasks.
• Hands-on containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience using Postman for API testing.
• Excellent communication to articulate technical ideas clearly.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced agile team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features using Java and Spring.
• Develop end-to-end features with Angular/Node.js in multidisciplinary teams.
• Create Python scripts to support platform functionality.
• Support containerization and deployment with Docker/Kubernetes and Postman.
• Assist in modernizing legacy solutions into biometric platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and QA to ensure reliability.
