MacKillop Family Services invites you to join a dedicated team in NSW as a House Supervisor. You will lead a youth residential care home, oversee daily care, and guide residential workers to support young people with complex needs in a therapeutic setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in social work or equivalent required.
  • Experience developing behavioural management programs for children and adolescents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and work independently with sound judgement.
  • Knowledge of residential care in a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated House Supervisor to lead one of our youth residential care homes, supporting children and young people with complex needs. In this vital role, you’ll oversee daily care, guide a team of residential care workers, and help create a safe, therapeutic environment where young people can feel supported.

This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity based in the Penrith and surrounding areas, NSW within our Intensive Therapeutic Care program and reports to the ITC Coordinator.

Our offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate ($51-$53.31 SCHADS Level 5) dependent on qualification and experience.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification at Bachelor Degree level in social work, community services, management or relevant field
  • Proven skills and experience in development of behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
  • Current First Aid Certificate with a minimum 6 months validity
