The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a similar kitchen role, experience with dough handling and wood-fired or deck ovens, and a current Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a similar kitchen role.
• Experience with dough handling, wood-fired or deck oven cooking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Current Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in an Italian restaurant and knowledge of Italian cuisine.

• Setting up workstations and operating kitchen equipment
• Measuring and weighing ingredients
• Following recipes and set menus
• Baking, grilling, steaming or boiling fish, meat, vegetables and other foods
• Presenting and garnishing dishes
• Adhering to kitchen hygiene and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean workspace at all times
• Monitoring stock levels
• Keeping up with cooking techniques and methods
