Job summary

SoftwareOne Australia is seeking an IT Project & Portfolio Manager to support governance, financial performance and delivery of the ANZ Professional Services portfolio. You will oversee project lifecycle, forecasts, revenue, margins and delivery risks while directly managing multiple technology projects.

The role combines portfolio oversight with hands-on project management, providing visibility into project health and month-end requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned IT projects through their full lifecycle, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, budgets and quality requirements.
• Maintain portfolio governance across project health, forecasting, revenue, margins, resource utilisation, backlog and delivery risks.
• Monitor financial and commercial performance, including forecasts, revenue recognition, cost overruns, margins and month-end requirements.
• Provide portfolio reporting and facilitate project health reviews, ensuring risks, issues and corrective actions are managed and escalated.
• Partner with customers, Services, Finance, Sales, Delivery Leads and resource teams to support effective project delivery and sales-to-delivery handovers.
• Drive consistent project and portfolio processes while supporting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the business.

Combining portfolio oversight with hands-on project management, the role provides visibility across project health, forecasting, revenue, margins, resources and delivery risks, while directly managing assigned technology projects through their lifecycle.

About You

• You bring 4+ years of project management, portfolio management or delivery experience within a Professional Services environment.
• You have proven experience managing large, complex or multi-year IT projects and overseeing multiple projects across a broader portfolio.
• You have experience across project governance, financial performance, forecasting, resource management and delivery risk.
• You have experience within technology environments, ideally across Microsoft Azure, Digital Workplace, Security or other cloud technologies.
• You have knowledge of established project management methodologies and tools, with PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification advantageous.
• You enjoy balancing hands-on project delivery with broader portfolio responsibilities and working collaboratively across different business functions.
