Job summary

Amentum is seeking a full-time Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Alice Springs, NT, Australia. The ISSO supports the ISSM in developing security policies, review of authorization packages, and maintaining security documentation for government-grade systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• CISSP, Security+ or equivalent.
• MCSA or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ ISSO experience with IA Certifications may suffice for degree.
• Experience with ICD 503 and RMF.
• Meets DoD 8570.1 IAT II minimum for system and network admins.
• Linux experience preferred.
• Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and technical report writing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to brief to Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization package and notify ISSM of changes impacting authorization.
• Coordinate changes to hardware, software, or firmware with ISSM and AO/DAO prior to change.
• Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features are restored and functioning.
• Ensure security documentation is current and audit records are collected and reviewed.
• Attend required technical and security training related to assigned duties.
• Execute cybersecurity portion of self-inspection and provide security coordination across plans.
• Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards.
• Ensure compliance with site EHS requirements.
• Perform other duties as requested.
