Job summary

Horizon Airways on Horn Island, Queensland, seeks a capable Commercial Pilot (CPL Australia) to operate day VFR services in a Cessna 206. The role offers full-time employment, company housing, and periodic travel to satellite bases across regional Queensland.

You will conduct safe day VFR air transport operations, plan flights with weight, balance, fuel and weather analysis, and adhere to SOPs while delivering high levels of passenger care in tropical and remote environments.

Qualifications

• Current CPL with Australia license.
• Minimum 250 hours total flight time.
• Experience flying with analogue flight instrumentation.
• Proven ability to work remotely and unsupervised in line with SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate C206 day VFR services from Horn Island to regional Queensland.
• Plan and execute flights including performance, weight and balance, fuel, and weather analysis.
• Maintain high levels of airmanship and passenger care while following SOPs.
