Job summary

Workfast is seeking an Irrigation Technician for ongoing full-time work in Port Melbourne, VIC. You will install sprinkler systems and smart controllers, maintain lines, and adjust watering schedules to optimise water use.

The role requires a manual driving licence, Cert 3 in Irrigation Technology, and compliance checks such as Police Check and Working with Children Check. Overtime opportunities are available, and a Tool of Trade may be included.

Qualifications

• Must have valid full driver's licence (manual preferred).
• Certificate 3 in Irrigation Technology is required.
• Police Check & Working with Children Check are required.

Responsibilities

• Installs systems: pipes, valves, pumps, sprinklers, and smart controllers.
• Maintains and repairs: flushes lines, unblocks nozzles, fixes leaks.
• Programs controllers: set watering schedules to match weather.
• Troubleshoots faults: identify electrical or pressure issues in the network.

• $36 - $38 p/h
• Shift times are:Monday - Thursday 7am-3.30pm Friday 7.00am-1:30pm (38 hours per week)

Your responsibilities would include:

• Installs systems: Sets up pipes, valves, pumps, sprinklers, and smart controllers based on layout designs.
• Maintains and repairs: Flushes lines, unblocks nozzles, and fixes broken or leaking parts.
• Programs controllers: Adjusts watering schedules to match weather patterns and save water.
• Troubleshoots faults: Finds electrical or pressure issues within the network.

To be successful:

• Current Full Drivers Licence (Manual is preferred)
• Must have Cert 3 Irrigation Technology
• Police Check & Working with Children's Check
