Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as an irrigation technician or in a similar trade/field.
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems, pumps and controllers.
• Ability to read plans and interpret technical information.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to undertake hands-on work.
• Construction White Card is required.
• Cert III in Irrigation or relevant qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for commercial and residential sites.
• Operate and troubleshoot pumps, valves, controllers, and related equipment.
• Perform system diagnostics and identify faults efficiently.
• Carry out small civil works related to irrigation installations.
• Complete job documentation and maintain service records.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Liaise with clients professionally and represent Waterland with integrity.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys hands‑on problem solving, and takes genuine pride in their work. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems, as well as assisting with pump servicing and minor civil works.

Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial and residential irrigation systems
• Operate and troubleshoot pumps, valves, controllers, and related equipment
• Perform system diagnostics and identify faults efficiently – decoder experience an advantage
• Carry out small civil works related to irrigation installations
• Complete job documentation and maintain accurate service records
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Liaise with clients professionally and represent Waterland with integrity

About You

• Experience as an irrigation technician or in a similar trade/field
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems, pumps, and controllers
