Job summary

GO.FARM is seeking an Irrigation Manager to lead the irrigation and fertigation operations at the Yenda Orchard. You will develop schedules, monitor water quality and system performance, and coordinate fertiliser programs to optimise crop outcomes.

You should bring a strong background in irrigation systems within agriculture, a practical understanding of fertigation, and the ability to drive safety and efficiency in a small team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing irrigation systems within horticulture or agriculture.
• Understanding of irrigation scheduling, water management and fertigation.
• Current driver's licence and ability to operate in outdoor environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with pumps, filters and irrigation equipment.
• Safe working practices and high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day irrigation and fertigation operations across the orchard.
• Develop irrigation schedules to optimise crop performance and water efficiency.
• Monitor water quality, supply and system performance; address issues promptly.
• Maintain pumps, filters, mains, valves and irrigation gear.
• Coordinate fertigation and fertiliser plans; manage inventory for parts.
• Assist with continuous improvement of irrigation tech and practices.
• Collaborate with Orchard Manager to meet production and quality goals.
• Represent GO.FARM with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
