Job summary

GO.FARM is seeking two Irrigation Managers to oversee irrigation and fertigation across almond orchards in a production environment. You will lead day-to-day irrigation operations, optimise schedules and monitor water quality and system performance.

As part of a collaborative team, you’ll maintain equipment, coordinate fertiliser programs and contribute to safety, quality and continuous improvement across GO.FARM’s orchards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing irrigation systems within horticulture, agriculture or a similar production environment.
• Sound understanding of irrigation scheduling, water management and fertigation systems.
• Hold a current driver's licence.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with pumps, filters and irrigation infrastructure.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and high standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small, dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the orchard's irrigation and fertigation systems.
• Develop and implement irrigation schedules to optimise crop performance and water efficiency.
• Monitor water quality, water supply and irrigation infrastructure, ensuring systems operate safely and effectively.
• Oversee the maintenance, servicing and repair of pumps, filters, mainlines, valves and irrigation equipment.
• Monitor irrigation performance, including pressures, flow rates and system outputs, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
• Coordinate fertiliser application programs through the fertigation system.
• Plan inventory requirements to ensure critical irrigation parts and fertiliser are available when needed.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve irrigation efficiency, technology and operating practices.
• Work closely with the Orchard Manager to deliver production, quality and operational objectives.
• Represent GO.FARM professionally with contractors, suppliers and external stakeholders.

About the role:

Due to continued growth, we're looking for two Irrigation Manager's to join our growing Almond Orchard team.

These are exciting opportunities to join established and developing orchards and help shape there future success. Working closely with the Orchard Manager, you'll oversee irrigation and fertigation operations, ensuring systems are safe, efficient and sustainable while supporting the property's continued development.

• Base salary between $90,000 - $110,000 per annum
• Short Term Incentive (STI) of up to 10% of your salary
