Job summary

WorkPac seeks experienced Mechanical Designers to support major iron ore projects in Perth, delivering detailed mechanical designs across large-scale mining infrastructure and fixed plant facilities. This short-term contract runs through to October 2027 and suits designers with extensive mining experience and strong iron ore project exposure.

Qualifications

• 1015 years of mechanical design experience within the mining and resources sector.
• Minimum two continuous years of experience on a major iron ore project within the last five years.
• Proven experience delivering designs for large-scale iron ore processing, materials handling or fixed plant projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver detailed mechanical designs for major iron ore and mining infrastructure projects.
• Prepare mechanical design packages, drawings, 3D models and technical documentation.
• Support the design of processing plants, crushing, conveying, screening and bulk materials handling systems.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to coordinate design deliverables.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, operational requirements and safety standards.
• Provide design support across brownfield expansions, sustaining capital projects and fixed plant infrastructure.
