Job summary

IPD Group is seeking a commercially minded Product Manager - ACB, MCCB, 1000V & TFSW to lead a key LV switchgear portfolio across Australia. You will own end-to-end lifecycle, launches, pricing, inventory, promotions, and tender support, coordinating with sales, suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive growth.

Based in Sydney with national scope, you will develop targeted plans, train teams, monitor market trends, and ensure quality processes while travelling to key sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualification as an Electrical Engineer or qualified trade electrician or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a Product Management role preferred.
• Proven track record in LV switchgear and channel strategies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with CRM and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of LV switchgear portfolio including launches, pricing, inventory and promotions.
• Develop and implement targeted business and marketing plans to drive growth.
• Deliver technical training programs for sales teams and customers.
• Assist sales with tender preparation and submissions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve product and quality issues.
• Build relationships with suppliers and key customers; drive awareness and growth.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity; identify opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System processes.

Are you a commercially minded professional with a passion for electrical products and product lifecycle management? We are looking for a Product Manager - ACB, MCCB, 1000V & TFSW to lead and grow a key product portfolio while driving strategic initiatives across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-impact product group, working closely with sales, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver growth, innovation, and market success.

Reporting to the Business Manager - Power Distribution & Management, this role is based in Wetherill Park office offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact nationally.

About the role:

You will own the end-to-end management of the LV switchgear product portfolio, ensuring it remains competitive, innovative, and commercially successful.

• Understanding the national market for LV Switchgear products (i.e. Moulded Case Circuit Breakers, Air Circuit Breakers) including key competitors.
• Managing the full product lifecycle, including product launches, pricing, inventory, and promotions
• Developing and implementing targeted business and marketing plans to drive growth.
• Delivering technical training programs for sales teams and customers.
• Assisting the sales team with tender preparation and submissions.
• Collaborating with suppliers to resolve product and quality issues.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and key customers
• Working closely with marketing, sales, and internal stakeholders to drive product awareness and growth
• Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities
• Assisting the sales team with tender preparation and submissions.
• Collaborating with suppliers to resolve product and quality issues.
• Ensuring compliance with all Quality Management System processes related to products and development.
• Performing all work in a safe and professional manner.

About You:

• Qualification as an Electrical Engineer, Qualified Trade Electrician, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience in a Product Management role is preferred.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing channel-focused strategies, particularly in LV switchgear
• Strong analytical skills with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Working knowledge of digital platforms, including CRM and ERP systems.
• Excellent time management and planning skills.
• Willingness to travel and drive results across diverse markets.
