Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong background in electronics/embedded systems with product lifecycle experience.
• Experience leading engineering projects and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Solid understanding of embedded systems and hardware–firmware integration.
• Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets and technical risks.
• Knowledge of systems engineering concepts and V&V processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commercially aware with ownership of end-to-end product outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Scope, plan and manage engineering projects for internal and external customers, from initial concept through development, testing and manufacturing.
• Coordinate a team of approximately 3-4 professionals across electronics, firmware, mechanical engineering and manufacturing.
• Oversee hardware-firmware development, ensuring embedded systems work together effectively and meet product requirements.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, milestones and technical risks while keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
• Apply an understanding of requirements, system architecture, verification and validation to support robust product development.
• Consider the bigger picture, anticipate challenges, manage dependencies and ensure technical decisions support the product's long-term success.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes, product quality and the transition from engineering development to manufacturing.
