Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking an Investigations Officer to manage regulatory matters including dog attacks, dog compliance, illegal waste dumping and alterations of public land. You will investigate, gather evidence, interpret legislation and determine appropriate responses, while engaging with the community to educate and encourage voluntary compliance.

When enforcement is necessary, you will prepare briefs and represent the Council before the Magistrates Court and QCAT as required, applying

Qualifications

• Experience in investigations, compliance, enforcement or a comparable regulatory environment.
• Strong investigative, analytical and evidence assessment skills.
• Ability to interpret and practically apply legislation.
• Strong community engagement and communication skills.
• Understanding of natural justice and procedural fairness.
• Strong written skills, including investigation reports and legal documentation.
