Your new role:
As an Inventory Storeperson, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring accurate stock management and smooth warehouse operations. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of keeping production moving — managing stock with precision, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be. This role will be required to support activities between our Avalon Site and 3PL in Altona.
Your responsibilities will include:
Stock control & accuracy: cycle counting, stocktake actions, system queries, and investigating discrepancies
Inventory management: executing slotting procedures, updating material numbers, and monitoring FIFO/FEFO practices
Logistics coordination: planning transport with 3PL partners and stakeholders to keep production on schedule
Communication: reporting delays, backorders, or errors to department managers
Warehouse support: issuing picking lists, coordinating deliveries, unloading trucks, receipting, replenishment, picking, staging, and managing quarantine inventory
Production support: delivering materials to the production line and assisting with forklift operations
General duties: maintaining housekeeping standards and disposing of dunnage
About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a mix of formal qualifications, hands‑on experience, and practical skills:
Qualifications
Certificate III or IV in Warehousing Operations (or equivalent)
High Risk Forklift Licence (required)
Proven ability to operate High Reach and High‑Capacity forklifts (required)
Heavy Rigid Licence (desired)
Experience
Previous use of SAP - especially S4 Hana WMS, with confidence in querying and inputting data
Background in warehouse environments supporting production or manufacturing inventory requirements
Experience handling large and oversized inventory items
