Job summary

Smartwares Australia in Cranbourne West is seeking an organised Inventory Planner / Controller to manage stock across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring the right stock at the right time while optimizing working capital.

You will oversee demand planning, PO placement, supplier lead times, and warehouse capacity, using ERP systems including MYOB EXO, with a focus on accuracy and fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory planning and control.
• Fluent Mandarin is highly regarded.
• Understanding of stock cover and replenishment planning.
• Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems (MYOB EXO and WMS preferred).
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control Smartwares inventory across Australia and New Zealand.
• Maintain visibility of stock on hand, committed stock, open orders and stock in transit.
• Coordinate demand review and purchase order placement with suppliers.
• Manage supplier lead times and warehouse capacity to minimise excess stock.

We are now looking for an organised Inventory Planner / Controller to join our team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning and controlling Smartwares inventory across Australia and New Zealand. You'll help ensure the right stock is available at the right time while managing excess stock, supplier lead times, warehouse capacity and working capital.

This role will manage the inventory plan from demand review and purchase order placement through supplier confirmation, shipment tracking, receipt and replenishment. It will maintain clear, accurate visibility of stock on hand, committed stock, open orders and stock in transit so that potential shortages or excess stock are identified early and acted on.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Experience in inventory planning, inventory control, purchasing or supply chain coordination


• Fluent Mandarin highly regarded (spoken and written)


• Understanding of stock cover, replenishment planning, supplier lead times, minimum order quantities and international freight.


• Experience working with ERP and warehouse management systems (MYOB EXO and WMS experience preferred)


• Highly organised with strong attention to detail


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
