Job summary

Labourpower Commercial is seeking an Inventory Controller with strong SAP experience to join our Sydney team. Qualifications

• Experience in Inventory or Stock Controller roles in a commercial environment.
• 3–5 years in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG, transport, logistics or warehousing.
• Strong SAP exposure and ability to reconcile stock discrepancies.
• Excellent written and verbal communications with internal/external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with intermediate Excel skills and stock reporting capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory across all products and divisions.
• Conduct weekly physical inventory of sensitive products.
• Analyse stock discrepancies and summarize findings in management reports.
• Prepare monthly reports on in-transit, off-site, blocked, returned and damaged stocks.
• Report on demonstration stocks, loan stocks, samples and stock used for developments.
• Recommend and implement stock policies to improve accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure stock transactions in SAP are accurate and balances reconciled with the third‑party warehouse.
• Analyse aged stock and identify slow-moving items.
• Monitor ullage for warehouse and transport, and complete disposal requests as needed.
• Prepare documents for internal audit and complete self-audit questionnaires.

Salary: AUD90000 - AUD100000 per annum + super

Our client is a leading global manufacturing & distributionbusiness with their APAC Head Office based in Sydney Olympic Park. Due to an internal promotion, they are looking for an Inventory Controller with strong SAP experience to join the team. Reporting through to the Finance Manager, this role will review, analyse, and report on inventory levels across all business units. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage inventory of all products on all divisions and states.
• Conduct physical inventory of all sensitive products on a weekly basis.
• Analyse and identify causes of stock discrepancies and summarise in a management report.
• Monthly review, analysis, and preparation of report on all in-transit, off-site, blocked stocks, returned stocks, disposed stocks, and damaged stocks.
• Monthly review, analysis and preparation of report on all demonstration stocks to customers, loan stocks to employees, sample and give-away stocks, and stocks used for technical developments.
• Analyse, recommend and implement reliable and stricter stock policies and procedures for total company.
• Establish accuracy and integrity of stock transactions on a regular basis.
• Processing of stock adjustments in SAP.
• Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of stock balances between the SAP system and the third-party warehouse provider.
• Monthly analysis of the aged stock reports and identify slow-moving stocks.
• Monitoring and calculation of ullage for warehouse and transport.
• Review and complete write off, write on or disposal requests.
• Prepare the required documents for the Internal Audit process
• Complete and submit the Self Audit questionnaire in accordance with the guidelines from the parent company.

Required Skills/Qualification

• Previous experience in an Inventory or Stock Controller equivalent role.
• 3-5 years in a similar role in a commercial environment
• Experience, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG, transport, logistics, warehousing etc
• Strong SAP exposure
• Excellent communicationskills with internal/external stakeholders
• Analysis & Intermediate Excel
• Team player & a customer-orientated attitude
