Job summary

Tradelink on the Gold Coast is seeking a stock controller to manage day-to-day stock purchasing for trade counter, warehouse and project orders, coordinate procurement for projects, and support sales and operations.

The role involves cycle counts, stocktakes, monitoring stock levels to meet demand without overstock, preparing inventory reports, liaising with suppliers, warehouse team and sales staff, and ensuring compliance with Tradelink procedures.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day stock purchasing for trade counter, warehouse, and commercial project orders.
• Coordinating project-specific procurement and ensuring timely delivery.
• Managing ongoing cycle counts and participating in the annual stocktake.
• Monitoring stock levels to meet customer demand without excessive overstocking.
• Preparing and maintaining inventory and purchasing reports.
• Analysing inventory performance and identifying discrepancies or risks.
• Liaising with suppliers, warehouse team, and sales staff to maintain smooth stock flow.
• Assisting the team where required, including greeting customers when on the trade counter.
• Ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with Tradelink procedures.
