Qualifications

• HC driver's licence with a current Australian licence.
• MR driver's licence with a current Australian licence.
• Minimum 2 years' professional truck driving experience, interstate preferred.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles safely and professionally across interstate routes.
• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections to ensure fitness and safety compliance.
• Plan and manage long-haul journeys, complying with driving hours and rest requirements.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and trip records per regulatory requirements.
• Load, secure and unload freight following weight distribution and safety protocols.
• Communicate with dispatch and management regarding vehicle condition and progress.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable to standard.
• Comply with road laws, company policies and industry regulations.
• Respond professionally to customer interactions and ensure on-time delivery.

Hop To It Transport is seeking an experienced Interstate Truck Driver & HR Drivers to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Richlands, QLD 4077, offering the opportunity to operate across interstate routes whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. As an Interstate Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across state lines, managing long-haul journeys and representing Hop To It Transport as a trusted logistics partner. HR Drivers will be local.

What you'll be doing

Operating heavy vehicles safely and professionally across interstate routes

Conducting pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical fitness and safety compliance

Planning and managing long-haul journeys, adhering to all legal driving hours and rest requirements

Maintaining accurate logbooks, trip records and documentation as per regulatory requirements

Loading, securing and unloading freight in accordance with weight distribution and safety protocols

Communicating effectively with dispatch and management regarding vehicle condition, route progress and delivery updates

Maintaining the vehicle to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation

Complying with all relevant road traffic laws, company policies and industry regulations

Responding professionally to customer interactions and ensuring on‑time delivery of goods

What we're looking for

Valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's manual licence with a current Australian drivers' licence

Valid MR driver's manual licence with a current Australian drivers' licence

Minimum 2 years' professional truck driving experience, preferably in interstate operations

Ability to work independently

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical fitness to safely operate heavy vehicles and handle manual duties

Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to conduct basic troubleshooting
