Qualifications

• Valid MC Truck Licence (mandatory).
• Proven interstate truck driving experience.
• Current Heavy Combination (HC) or articulated truck experience.
• Clean driving record focused on safety and compliance.
• Knowledge of Australian road rules and fatigue management.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to meet delivery deadlines reliably.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Professional attitude with safety emphasis.
• Physical fitness for freight handling.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Operate MC (articulated) trucks safely on interstate routes.
• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections for roadworthiness.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report issues.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and fatigue records.
• Load and secure freight ensuring proper distribution.
• Navigate routes and weather while maintaining safety and schedules.
• Communicate route updates and delays with dispatch.
• Represent Coghlan Transport positively with clients.
• Adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
