Job summary

You will assess profiles, advise on suitable courses, coordinate with institutions, and guide applicants through admission requirements and visa readiness.

This role is based in the Northern Territory, Australia, working within an established education and migration consultancy.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Education Consultant or Student Counsellor in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of Australian education systems, courses, institutions, and admission processes.
• Understanding of student visa requirements and the Genuine Student framework.
• Experience in student counselling and profile assessment.
• Attention to detail when checking documents.
• Excellent communication, counselling, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple applications and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable in a KPI-driven, target-focused environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Professional and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students on suitable Australian courses, institutions, and pathways based on academic background and career goals.
• Assess student profiles and recommend appropriate education options.
• Guide students on admission requirements, eligibility criteria, and supporting documentation, including Genuine Student requirements and statements.
• Review and verify academic, financial, and supporting documents, identifying discrepancies or missing information before the visa stage.
• Coordinate with universities, colleges, and education providers regarding applications and admission requirements.
• Respond promptly to student enquiries and provide updates throughout the admissions process.
• Follow up on pending documents and application progress.
• Maintain accurate and well-organised student records.
• Provide general guidance on the student visa process within the scope of the role.
• Coordinate with the internal visa team on lodgement matters.
• Handle complex student cases and elevate issues where required.
• Meet individual and team KPIs related to counselling, admissions, and student conversions.
